When we saw this amazing real wedding on the Ruffled blog we fell head over heels in love. The couple got married in Long Beach, California. The groom, Jonathan, is a jeweller who made all of the groomsmen’s cufflinks, the centrepieces and the altar, while Amy, the beautiful bride, took on the flower arrangements.

They lined the altar with Amy’s grandmother’s quilt, which was also used in their engagement session and it was their main source of inspiration for their wedding. She wore a vintage wedding dress she found in Chile and had it altered with added flutter sleeves. Her amazing yellow birdcage veil is to die for! Incredible photographs by Chad Cress

The biggest fashion show on the planet took place today inLondon. Bright colours, flamboyant jewellery and over the top hats were the uniform of choice.

Mother-of-the-bride Carole Middleton opted for an elegant and subtle number from Catherine Walker, a French-born designer based inLondonwho was a favourite with Princess Diana.

The Duchess of Cornwall wore Anna Valentine -- the woman who designed her wedding outfits and is credited with revamping her image. She wore a champagne silk dress and a duck-egg blue and champagne coat with hand-embroidered detailing, teamed with a hat by her favourite milliner, Philip Treacy, and shoes by Jimmy Choo.

    VB

Queen of fashion Victoria Beckham made an elegant arrival dressed in one of her own autumn/winter creations, specially altered to take account of her baby bump. She cut a demure figure in the knee-length navy number, matched with a pillbox Philip Treacy hat adorned with her hair slicked back in a ponytail. She wore 6in heels customised for her by Christian Louboutin with a large platform to reduce the effect of the heel height, making it easier for the star to wear the shoes for the long day

Her husband David played it safe in a grey tie and morning suit by Ralph Lauren.

    Princess

The Queen's granddaughter Princess Eugenie wore an unsuccessful aqua-blue number and small feathered hat, while sister Beatrice went for a summery pale peach, teamed with a statement hat.

    E

Elton John and David Furnish both wore matching bespoke black morning suits. Elton brightened his with a yellow waistcoat and purple tie.

Zara Phillips, who is the next royal to get married, was beautiful in a grey suit and dramatic hat

    Chelsy

Chelsy Davy, Prince Harry's on-off girlfriend, wore a glamorous off-the-shoulder turquoise two-piece, with a playful bow on the back.

    o

PM David Cameron's wife, Samantha Cameron decided against the traditional hat opting for a feathery barrette teamed with a short-sleeved, figure-hugging teal-green Burburry dress accessorised with orange scarf and nude heels. David Cameron wore a morning suit.

    Wed

Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria, arriving with husband Prince Daniel, also went for the colour-blocking trend in an orange wrap dress with matching platform shoes and a wide-brimmed hat

    TP

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, socialite and friend of Prince Charles, sported a bright royal blue dress and matching daring teardrop-shaped pillbox hat by British designer Stephen Jones.

    q

Fancy headgear was the name of the game for female guests at Westminster Abbey today, with pillbox, wide-brimmed beribboned styles and dramatic feathered fascinators making an appearance. Britain's Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg's wife Miriam wore what looked to be a Flamenco-inspired hat.
